If he hadn't been substituted against West Ham, he could easily have scored his third hat-trick of the season. Yesterday was Denis Law's birthday. Rooney is certainly the only player in sight who has any chance of rivaling Law's Manchester United scoring record. It's amazing to recall that, in 1963-64, Law scored seven hat-tricks. I agree that he's carried the team along this season but I would really hope that he does a genuine support or partner as soon as possible to relish him to the next level. Let's face it, he would have a had a better goal tally if he one. We all feel it under the belly. What happens at the end of this season and the World Cup will go a long way towards placing him there though.
