He is a gloomy one, our friend. This was a home banker if ever there was one! We are not quite gelling yet, I agree. Why? Berbatov not yet settled (and doesn't look like a grafter but I don't care as long he shows skill, plays others in and scores - all of which he did against a bunch of worthy triers). I think he can also do it against rather better teams and I think Ronnie is going to improve given a few more games. It's not his head that's wrong, he's just getting back up to the ineffable peaks he reached last season. We are a little shakier at the back thanks to VDS, who had nothing to do on Saturday, almost literally. So why weren't we better? Midfield a little thin? Maybe. We do have some top players out though (will Hargreaves ever be fully fit??)

Liverpool will slip up - have no concerns about that! They can't keep coming from behind against the likes of Wigan and not do so. Chelsea is a different proposition and are quite rightly the bookies' favourite. Depressing but I think I would just prefer them to win the league rather than the Pool. BUT WE WANT THAT 18TH TITLE!! Please note, Fergie!

By the way, Giggs played a stormer - did you see him track back just about the whole pitch in the 88th minute, win the ball then pass it 50 yards to set up the 4th goal? The boy done great!

The Neviller is right - the result we should be annoyed about is the home draw against the Barcodes. The Chelski draw was an excellent result even if we should perhaps have won having held the lead for 3/4 of the game.
