Told you so. Score draw. But we had a chance to win this and blew it. And from a set piece too. Hairdrying all round for that one. But Chelsea were much stronger in the second half and I suppose a point is one better than last season.
Berbatov looked a bit off the pace to me while Ronnie needs a few more games too.
MOTM? Rio was immense as always and Hargreaves was in the thick of it and looked like the player we paid £18mn for. I think Park shades it though, for being there when the opportunity came and for some great runs and keeping Chelsea under pressure.
Don’t worry lads. We will beat this lot in Spain. We have had our spineless day at anfield. Remember that in 1999 we only won two of the six group stage matches.
